looking nice emmy soo :)

...your test results are in.....

1) Is proper user feedback provided for all navigational and link states (up and rollover)?

yes.

2) Are the main and secondary navs clear and functional (via placement, hierarchy)?

yes. the main nav is larger and placed on the top of everything else- an easy nav to find. although there is some funky color in the website that is different in the psd. for some reason the link to structure begins black on the website and then turns purple after it has been clicked-- the lack of contrast is making such words recede to the point of not being instantly noticeable..... although-- i might have just wasted my breathe if this is a css problem- :D

3) Are there multiple entry points (nav, links) to the same content?

not that i can tell. however, because of the layout of the information, i don't feel that multiple entry points are especially necessary.

4) Is text at its best legibility (contrast, pt size, line length, surrounding margins, clear hierarchy)?

98% of the text is very legible. the use of black type on light blue was a good decision for readability while being able to keep a constant color palette. the only text that could be a little more problematic is the "read more" under the article options on the right hand side of the screen. the blue type is getting close to the more saturated blue tones in the background.

5) Are the page locations and content areas within the page properly identifiable?

yes. the hierarchy and use of rollover is an immediate tell to where one is or where they may go. the rollover states of the subnav are not overwhelming, but they are enough for the user to ably identify an addition of content or clickable links.

6) Are design elements, grid structure and typography system consistent from page from page?

yes. each page is consistent and working well together-- however, when going from homepage to read more on the home page there is a graphic that is not there (right over "understanding the web") and then when the article expands it is there.

7) Has content been reasonably contained within optimal screen size boundary, and has the design addressed all areas outside those typical boundaries?

the screen size is working well-- although i wonder about the background. after the fold, the graphic is cut-off and is also on the right-- can this be centered?

8) Do the 5+ prototypical pages follow a clickable path that is unique and appropriately represents their specific content types?

yes- each shows a clear different page through a beginning click from the homepage to secondary information to tertiary information.
