It's much better Emily, as you can see compared to the previous state it's quieter and more engaging. Your refined approach could filter down to the details on the page as well, the calendar for example seems dominated by heavy black lines, if those where gray or orange it could make it more inviting. Thin lines to separate the cases on the right might be nice as well. Keep it up!
